The PUR CRF-950Z water filter pitcher cartridge should be replaced approximately every 1-2 months or every 40 gallons of water depending on your water quality and consumption. The PUR CRF-950Z water filters are quick and easy to replace. No special tools are required. Before installing the new filter, soak the filter in cold tap water for 15 minutes. Discard the first 1-2 pitchers of water before using for drinking the water.
